A private, nonprofit organization, the Fannie Mae
Foundation is the largest foundation in the country
devoted to affordable housing and the revitalization of
communities. Knowledgeplex is a very comprehensive
web-based resource center sponsored by the Fannie Mae
Foundation offering best practices, discussions, research,
and more for professionals working on affordable housing,
economic revitalization, homeownership, and community

Land Trust Alliance
Since its founding in 1982, the Land Trust Alliance has
helped build a strong land trust movement in America that
now includes more than 1,260 conservation organizations.
LTA has supported land trusts through its conferences,

Local Initiative Support Corporation
Local Initiative Support Corporation helps resident-led,
community-based development organizations transform
distressed communities and neighborhoods into healthy

local leadership and the creation of affordable housing,
commercial, industrial and community facilities,

National Trust for Historic Preservation
The National Trust for Historic Preservation is a
privately funded nonprofit organization that provides
leadership, education, and advocacy to save America's
diverse historic places and revitalize communities. The
National Trust's National Main Street Center is a
full-service commercial district revitalization
organization, which helped develop the Main Street
Four-Point Approach, a comprehensive methodology that has
been used by over 1600 communities to revitalize their
traditional commercial districts.
